Night record

Planning here works on its own. Once a night starts, it travels between the three tools by itself.

Cooking notes

Set cream tart

Finished the day before. Occupies fridge, not oven. Bitter against sweet; skip dessert wine unless asked A small pour of the table red, or coffee. If you want wine: a dry-ish Madeira or nothing. Do not default to sticky dessert wine.

Base recipe

This is the base recipe: one batch, 10 portions. Nothing has been scaled, because there is no committed plan for this dish. Build and commit a plan that includes it and this card multiplies itself to the batch count the plan computes.

Leftover route

Keeps two days cold. Serve colder, not warmer. A spoon of leftover citrus on top.

What does not scale

Multiplying the ingredients is the easy half. These are the parts of the recipe that the batch count does not move.

Cooking time
25 minutes in the oven, whatever fraction of the tray is filled. A half-full tray browns faster, so look at it sooner rather than trusting the clock.
Method
  1. Read the whole method before you shop. This is a planning recipe for set cream tart, not a certified kitchen test.
  2. Amounts below are one batch: 10 portions. Build a plan and this card scales itself to it.
  3. This dish can be completed up to 1 day ahead. Cold storage is the real limit — do not make it ahead if the fridge is already tight.
  4. No heat. Assemble from cold ingredients. Keep covered until service.
  5. Holds about 240 minutes once finished. After that, quality drops — do not invent extra time.
  6. Drink pairing: A small pour of the table red, or coffee. If you want wine: a dry-ish Madeira or nothing. Do not default to sticky dessert wine.
  7. Leftover route: Keeps two days cold. Serve colder, not warmer. A spoon of leftover citrus on top.
  8. Confirm every ingredient and every allergen yourself. Dietary tags are planning filters, not safety guarantees.
Make-ahead

Can be completed up to 1 day ahead. Fridge units: 2 per batch, so 1 batch takes about 2 shelf-thirds while it waits.

Scaling

Base recipe: one batch, 10 portions. Nothing has been scaled, because no plan was open. Cooking time does not move with the batch: 25 minutes in the oven either way.

Not every line here was multiplied by the same number. Why doubling a recipe is not multiplication
